Bacon Ranch Cheese Ball Recipe

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 packet of Hidden Valley ranch dip or dressing seasoning (or 3 Tbs.)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheese
  • bacon crumbs

Easy-Cheese-Ball

Soften cream cheese and mix in dry ranch dressing.  Add shredded cheese.  Refrigerate cheese/ranch mixture for 1 hour.  Once it is cold it will make it way easier to form into a ball.  Form into ball and roll into the bacon crumbs.  Serve with crackers.  If you are serving a large group, you may want to double this recipe so that it serves more people.

Ana Grilo is a Brazilian who moved to the UK because of the weather. No, seriously. She works with translations in RL and hopes one day The Book Smugglers will be her day job. When she’s not here at The Book Smugglers, she is hogging our Twitter feed.

How much heat do you use with the on-stove griddle? I’ve tried using ours for pancakes and they just run to the edges unlike in a frying pan over medium heat

I usually do lettuce as the buns, more like a burger wrap I guess. I’ve also used bell pepper halves, but really depends on the size of your patty and bell peppers. The bell pepper added a crunchiness that I was missing. digital marketing

So I have always been pretty health conscious but I never really questioned where my food was coming from. But once I became aware of what actually goes on during food production I was shocked. I felt that consumers were basically being lied to through false advertising and this hidden process that occurs. It actually makes me so angry to think about!! After I studied abroad in Costa Rica I became very interested in sustainable living/eating and began to modify my diet. Over the summer I was working for a company that makes all natural food products (gluten free, dairy free, sugar free), which got me even more in touch with eating close to my roots. So Lappe’s work has only furthered my knowledge surrounding my eating habits and the effects that food production has on climate change. (I’m also kind of obsessed with anything related to sustainable clean eating so I’ve watched numerous documentaries and read lots of literature on the subject!) If your interested in any further reading let me know I can send you suggestions!Darren Wogman
