The Perfect Mother’s Day Gift

Back in 2004, we gave our mom her most favorite Mother’s Day gift of all time.  It was a scrapbook, but not just any usual scrapbook.  This Scrapbook came with a promise to add pages to it each year.  All 5 of us kids committed to making a 2 page spread to show the highlights of our family for the year – every year.  Last year we had to get mom another binder because the first one was bursting.  This book is now the favorite book to look at at Grandma’s house.  It’s so fun to see how everyone has changed over the years–in one book.

Here is the first page in the book – from 2004!
Here are some of my layouts.  Before 2007, it was paper scrapbooking.  In 2007, I finally went digital.

For some of the years we added a 2 page spread about our family reunion for that year.   It’s so fun to remember all these good times together!

Our mom is leaving soon to serve a mission for our church, and I’m sure this book is one of the few things she will take with her.  We are so excited for her and my dad to serve a mission.  They will be so great!!  We love you mom!
