Cupcake Bouquet

One month ago, I had this beautiful baby girl.
I had so many nice gifts, cards, meals, phone calls, and visits.  It was amazing!!!
(How do you thank everyone?  Thank you cards just don’t seem like enough.)
We had some complications before she came, so she was our little MIRACLE!
One of the cutest handmade gifts I received was this cupcake bouquet.  It was SO cute and SO yummy!

She came by to drop it off at the best time.  I was needing something sweet!
I asked her how she did it and I took pictures as I “un did” the bouquet.
First, you start with a pot and a Styrofoam ball.
Next, you add some toothpicks to hold the cupcakes.  I don’t know if you can tell, but there are some
larger cupcakes and some small ones too.  There was also two shades of pink frosting.
(She said she had to kind of make an X with the toothpicks to get them to stay.  She also
mentioned that she had to freeze the frosting for a while so that it wouldn’t run right off the cupcake!)
Then you add the cupcakes. (Sorry I don’t have a picture of this step.)
Finally she crinkled up some square pieces of green tissue paper and stuck them in as “filler” with
straight pins.  It was SO creative.  My mom and I were way impressed!
Here is the final product!  Thanks again Dana!  You Rock!

  1. I have made these for my grand-daughters birthday, but instead of tissue paper I put icing on the ball and crushed uo oreo cookies in my blender then spread on the icing turned out really cute.

  2. Superb! Generally I never read whole articles but the way you wrote this information is simply amazing and this kept my interest in reading and I enjoyed it.
