I have a new friend.  She is Shelley from Custom Slipcovers by Shelley.  It is so fun that I get to run into her almost every week, where we get to chat and catch up.  She is very talented and creative.  I was so excited when she was interested in having me review her new Pillow Talk e-book.  I’ve been needing to make some cute pillows for my front porch, so this was the perfect motivation to get it done!!

I really learned a lot from making these pillows.  They are far from perfect, but I got a little better with each pillow.  I enjoyed using more features on my sewing machine than just a straight stitch!  I became good friends with my zipper foot by the time I was done with 5 pillows.   🙂  I used a canvas fabric (since I knew they were going outside, I wanted them to be tough) all purchased at Jo-Anns.
