St. Patrick’s Day Smoothie

1 c. orange juice
2 large heaping handfuls of spinach
1 banana (I usually use half, I don’t like it to be too banana-y)
2 big scoops of vanilla yogurt
1 1/2(ish) cups light colored fruit (so that the smoothie stays a pretty green color. If you put in dark fruits, the smoothie turns brown)
Blend that up, it’s delish!
A couple of things:
*I buy the big bag of frozen fruit from Walmart that has mangos, peaches, pineapple, and strawberries. If I want a perfectly green smoothie, I leave out the strawberries.  My kids love the smoothies enough now, that it can be brown or purple and they still like it.
*I also add a couple leaves of Kale now. You can’t taste it, and kale is a super food!
*You can mix up the fruits you put in to make it a different experience each time, but never ever forget the banana. That is important.
*I add yogurt for the protein, and because I don’t care to eat yogurt straight.
Try it, you’ll love it!
