I could really use a vacation.
The problems are…#1-finding the time, #2-affording it, and #3-where to go?
My husband and I have been married 13 years and we have never gone on
a super great vacation. In fact, the longest we have left our kids was two nights.
So, if vacation time wasn’t a problem, how do people pay for vacations?
Bonuses? Budget so much out of each check? Tax Return?
I need some tips.

So, where would you go? A cruise? Hawaii? We have absolutely no idea where to start.
Do we start cheaper or do we save up for the New Zealand trip we’d both like to take?

We have a certain ammount of money that we take from our paycheck every month that goes into a travel account. We’ve been able to do some fun vacations with this money. We would love to go to New Zealand too and I’d love to take a trip to New York someday.
My husband and I have been married 10 years and haven’t taken any great vacation either. But we did just buy a deal on KSL (Utah news station) for 6 nights in Mexico (YES, I know some people are very scared of Mexico right now but I did some research and this place is considered the “Hawaii of Mexico”, so we’re not worried 😉 facial, manicure, pedicure, and surf board lessons for under $500. And it just needs to be used any time in the next 2 years. Anyways, so after all that, my suggestion is check out the deal sites! 🙂 Good luck!
A co-worker I worked with years ago would use coupons at the grocery store. When she got the total she would still pay the total without the coupons and get the cash back. She created a box and wrapped it up with pretty paper and cut a small opening in the top. Each time she returned from the store she would put the cash and receipt in the box. At he beginning of December she would open the box like it was a big present. She would use that money to shop for Christmas. You could use the same idea for saving for a vacation. A cruise is fun if you want to try a few different places and you can find some good deals if you really look around. A friend and I are going at the end of the year for NYE for around $500.
Have you ever thought about traveling to Florida? My husband and I vacationed in Fort Myers and loved it. You can have a great vacation, rent a great hotel somewhere near the beach, rent a car for the whole vacation and enjoy your stay there 14CARS
