I am a quilter. If you have met me recently, you probably wouldn’t know this about me because it has been WAY too long since I have made a quilt. I started learning about quilting when I was pregnant with my first baby over 10 years ago! Wow, that makes me feel old. 🙂 Here are some of my favorite quilts.
This quilt is called a bull’s eye quilt. I found my pattern in a book called “Quilts from Aunt Amy”. I made this with 3 of my friends back in 2009. We traded blocks so we could have more of a variety of fabric. I love making something cute from scraps. Someday I am going to get a picture of the 4 of us and our quilts.
This quilt is called Button up Buttercup by Friend Folks. I made this one back in 2008.
This is Peppermint Posies by Thimble Blossoms. I made this quilt in 2009. I love having a Christmas quilt. Someday I hope to have more seasonal quilts to rotate with the holidays and seasons.
This is a hexagon quilt. It is pieced 100% by hand. I know, I’m crazy. But isn’t it cute? I followed the tutorial by Camille Roskelley of Thimble Blossoms. This quilt isn’t quilted and bound, but I still enjoy it hanging in my sewing room. I started this quilt in 2008, and maybe I will get it finish this year. Maybe.
I bought me a new machine last year and I’m sad to say she hasn’t made a quilt yet. (It’s been a crazy busy year.) It’s time to break her in.
Now, this is where I need your help. I bought a fat quarter bundle a while ago of “Pure” by Sweetwater. I love the brown and aqua! Now I just need to make something with it. Do you have a favorite quilt pattern I should try? I would love to hear your suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help and I will be sure to show you what I make.
I love your bullseye quilt. My mom made me one a few years ago and I love it. Currently my favorite quilt pattern is the pinwheel and I think Pure would be darling made into pinwheels. Here is a really fabulously easy tutorial on how to make pinwheels if you are interested.

Good luck!
I don’t think I’ve seen the peppermint posies quilt! They are all amazing and beautiful!
I love that you get to say you are “a quilter” I don’t think I’ve arrived there yet 🙂 BUT I finally am in the market for a good sewing machine and I can’t wait to put it to good use. Here is the quilt I am drooling over and want to make next. http://www.modabakeshop.com/2011/02/summer-dreamin.html But I think anything at this website is AWESOME. Love your skills girlfriend! I always know who to call with my questions! 🙂
I would love to make a target quilt, after seeing yours I am really, really tempted. I really only ever make 1 “quilt”, last year I made the crib bedding for my niece, it turned out great and I was hooked!
I found this adorable quilt the other day and have added it to my someday-i-will-make-this folder.
