Spaghetti Pie

Have you ever tried Spaghetti Pie?
Well, several months ago, I was stuck in my “what to have for dinner” rut and my friend, Lisa,
came to the rescue!  She introduced us to Speghetti Pie.
It is kind of a cross between Lasagna and Spaghetti AND it’s quick, easy, and cheap!
Believe me when I say the kids really LOVE this!

Spaghetti Pie

2 tbsp margarine; melted
2 eggs; beaten
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
spaghetti noodles
16 oz. cottage cheese
1 jar (1 lb. 8 oz.) Prego spaghetti sauce
1/2 lb hamburger; browned
8 oz. mozzarella cheese
First, you cook and drain the spaghetti.
Second, combine 2 tbsp. melted margarine, 2 beaten eggs, and 1/3 c. Parmesan cheese.
Third, add the spaghetti and stir.
Fourth, Spread on bottom of 9 X 13 pan to form crust.
Fifth, spread cottage cheese over crust. (I think I used the whole container.)
Sixth, combine the 1 jar Prego spaghetti sauce with 1/2 lb of hamburger
and pour over cottage cheese. (Hamburger is optional. This time I left it out.)
That’s it!  Bake for 25 minutes at 350.  Last few minutes add some mozzarella cheese.
Here’s the finished product right before it was devoured!  ENJOY!
